Rental house still on the horizon??
Rental house still on the horizon?? The Rental House Lady was blowing up my phone yesterday while I was onboarding new employees. Apparently she'd called and talked to someone from my company, immediately after I met with her on Saturday, and got a good work reference. I'm not quite certain who she had spoken with.... But whoever it was didn't give her the Work Reference number that we're supposed to be<b> giving </font></b>out. I gave her the Work Reference number when I saw her and told her that was the process. Yesterday, however, she was frustrated because she hadn't been able to get through to the apartment manager for the apartments I currently live in. When she did get through.... They wouldn't just release my information until I called and gave my approval. So I stepped back to my desk to find several messages stating she'd left a message, she was experiencing red tape, she'd finally talked to the manager, they wouldn't release any info, can I call her, and can I call and talk to the office manager to give approval to release my rental references. I'm wondering what kind of information this woman is for? I guess I'll find out when I call the apartment manager today. Happy Tuesday! |

maybe she wants to see your rent payment history i.e. late or whatever...

Hopefully she's just looking for confirmation that you have been paying your rent on time and that you're not one of "those" renters who cause problems (like your former downstairs neighbor). Of course, she may also be checking to make sure you haven't been parking on the grass there. She has the lawn to think of ya know.... You may want to find out if she carries a ruler or tape measure around with her. To measure the length of the grass. Can't have it getting too long!

One of the biggest problems for landlords is unpaid rent........so I guess she's just doing her homework.......I wonder if she'll be as quick to contact her tenants if a problem arises....... Either way, good luck McLade.

payment history, most likely..... looking to see that yes, you are paying your rent... and on time. prob also ask for a maintenance history to see if you are rough on your appliances, electricals, etc... or if it's mostly natural wear and tear. prob also ask if they keep a record about any complaints lodged against you... did anyone ever call the police on you.... like that

Lanlords just want to avoid trouble, want things to go smoothly. Those that have experienced trouble usually wind up loosing money. You can leave me a message here
