More on why you should care about ethical open relationships

It is good for the economy and the society (yourself included):

Many new business opportunities and innovative process along a supply chain can be created to meet the needs for EOR.

• By fine-tuning search functions of online adult match making websites (e.g. creating a safe sex logo or simply a checkbox for safe sex practice), like-minded and like-acted people can better connect.

• If public or private investments can be secured to fund state-of-art facilities for recreational safe sex so that both rich and poor would want to take advantage of them for a common good, supply and demand for such facilities and related product and services will increase (disposable, biodegradable, waterproof bed sheet and pillow cover delivery, anyone?), which means more tax revenues and more employment opportunity.

• If swinger cruise ships, resorts, and clubs all start to promote the use of oral HIV test kits, if the testing process and the HIV test kits are made more fun to use, and even if you are tested HIV positive but are treated early and treated with respect and care as you would for other infections, we can expect a sea change in economies around the world.

You may doubt how such thing can be possible since it is against people’s feeling to be tested (especially to be told HIV positive on the spot). I share your feelings. But I also think that shame and fear are psychological effects which can be dealt with by professionals and by care and respect from all of us in the society. Moreover, if the rest of the world can develop cure from treating those infected, we owe the infected tremendously. That’s how we have to tackle this issue, what do you think?

So, it seems to me this will be a mutually reinforcing process – business should not wait for demand to rise to a certain level. Build a mouse trap like what Steve Jobs did with iPhone and iPad, demand will follow.

What is needed is wide public awareness and cooperative action.

And lots of good business ideas at the same time.
