So this is Christmas?

I still dread this holiday. After working retail for 13 years I have seen the ugly side of this holiday. Fights, screaming, yelling and other sad behaviors. I hate how everything closes down, ya I know I am single. My family is gone and my is estranged.

But then something today happened. A real Merry Christmas with feeling from the gate guard at Menards. Driving home I realized this was not the first, one heart felt greeting of this year. They have happened all around me. Even I have given some out. Is this from covid? I can not say.

The few years my<b> giving </font></b>has went down. I give but its more to others, a few cards there some small things to my favorite eating place. Gone is that pressure to get THE . I want to brighten someones day. So my idea of this year was to get a number of for my waitresses. I bought a couple more than I needed. They got to pick out what they wanted. Did it ever work! All 8 were so excited to get something they wanted. It took all the big pressure off. If I would have picked out for them I would only have gotten one out of 8 right. This worked out to a perfect 8!

I have no to give you. Just advice. Find a happy place this holiday and enjoy. Remember its about each other, say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays with spirit. It may just brighten someone's day.
