Day Is Done. . . . The<b> weekend </font></b>is about shot. It a wet, chilly, unpleasant one outside, so I stayed INside for the most part, when I wasn't checking mail or getting acquainted with NW. Speaking of which, her previous owner put in a -ass Kenworth stereo with all kinds of bells and whistles, that I'm finding fascinating; so much that I tracked down downloads of the manuals to it and downloaded them, both on this tablet and my phone, so I could have a handy reference. Good idea, huh? Bambi's on her way home from her book group now. I always miss her but she needs to get out sometimes with her friends, and I honestly don't mind being alone for a few hours. I, too, need Me Time! Fried chicken legs and scalloped potatoes for dinner. Not bad for a Sunday evening, for me. I have to run by the shop after my first, and probably ONLY, shift tomorrow to take all the stuff we to salvage from Betsy before Chris sells her to a junkyard. Gonna be sad task for me, but it does have to be done, I suppose! I'm going to recycle a lot of that stuff to NW, including, hopefully the jack and four-way lugwrench and the winter windshield covering system. Among other things. It's possible, if not LIKELY that I will have four half-days this coming week with Friday entirely off save for an appointment at the local RMV to register NW and the sales tax due on her. I have to refuel NW on the way to the shop tomorrow morning, as she's only got a quarter tank or less of gas left, and that's not going to get me very far! Fortunately we have Shell credit cards, which makes our lives that much easier. . . . And there's a Shell station on the way to the shop from work, on 28. Good thing, huh? Turbo's getting restless. That usually means company is coming soon, so I'll sign off for now. |
