back after being gone a while

hi again i was on this site a long time ago and left because i found what i was seeking at the time, but as time goes on our wants and desires change and people grow, if you dont grow together you tend to grow apart. some mature while others stay the same or revert.
so i decided to come back to this site and see what's going on in this brave new world we have. I have been somewhat dismaybe at what i find, there are many of the same names i saw before but the members appear bitter and ready to attack and stuck in the little group or clique mentality, and so many of the great services of the site are gone. where did they go???? where is the flash chat and the ability to IM with others without having to with the<b> blood </font></b>of your first born.

im wondering if others are having similar thoughts or experiences.

I wanted to come back and reconnect and maybe make new friends but what im seeking is a little frightening (friendly wise)
