Time to take down the decorations...naw, I'll leave them up till after New Years. No Christmas bonus this year from the owners. Nothing not even a card. There has been a envelope on the P.M.'s desk for the past week or so marked Christmas gifts, then again only three names were written on the envelope. The painters, The P.M.s and my Boss. My name and that of the other Maintenance guy were left off. Yeah okay, I get it. The peons don't rate in the owners eye enough to get a gift for Christmas I suppose? As it was the "Christmas " party this year was held in another state. Not being a driver I had no way of getting there. Not that the last Christmas party I attended that they held was much fun. The event two years ago now proved to be nothing more than something held to mooch more money out of their investors, a get'em drunk and see if they could pry open their wallets once again. So I suppose I didn't miss a whole hell of a lot not going to the "party" this year. My last Christmas gift from the previous owners was a good one to say the least. Very nice of them to give out bonuses like that really, since nether of the two guys that owned the place at the time celebrated the Christmas holiday. I miss them, sure they'd piss and moan sometimes but always held all the employees in high regard. They actually invested their profits back into the business, making sure up dates were done right and on time by any contractors who did work. That's not the case with the new guys. Ah well...all those investors the new owners they kiss ass of got to be paid dividends I suppose? On the good side of this Christmas... The Grand Minions went nuts over their gifts. It was great seeing their faces light up. Made my Christmas it did. As for the gifts I got, nothing much really. A bottle of rum, along with a new pair of house slippers. Something I can use and something to get wasted with on New Years.  Okay I'm going go looking for sexy photo's now....

The peons are always screwed over by management, it's the American way.  Sounds like you had a lovely holiday with the grand minions, I'm glad. Merry Belated Christmas This week's HNW: Pink/Hearts (Or Chocolate) is available on the other side.

In my eyes, you are the hero of that place. You are the one that keeps it functioning. One day they will figure it out. I'm glad you had fun with the minions! Small humans always warm my heart. Hugs!
