Okay, so maybe it hasn't really been forty years. But as you all know I'm not a bath person, preferring to shower instead. Showering is faster and the water stays hot the entire time as opposed to taking a bath where after you've gotten the water in the tub it starts to get cold. Don't get me started on laying there in a tub of dirty water either. But, for some reason when I got home last night I needed to take a bath. I figured the hot soak would ease the aches and pains in my back. No such luck, oh it worked for a bit but as the water got colder as I lay there the effect didn't last and the soak was soon over. Back in the day, a local hot tub show room/ sales place used to have rooms with tubs in them you could rent by the hour. I suppose it was their way to show off their product and get more people interested in buying one. As you can probably guess they didn't make too many sales. Though they did have a long waiting list on the rooms where you could rent them.  Funny thing I never had the means to actually buy a hot tub back then, but I'd go every so often just for a soak. It not only made my back feel better but helped my ex wife and I become better lovers for the other, and opened some doors to a few fantasies of inviting other couples to join us on some occasions as well. I guess you could say we were dipping our toes in the water of swinging/ swapping? For the most part there was never any real contact between us and the other couple (s) and the whole experience was more voyeuristic than anything else. Watching the other couple make out and have sex with each other and them watching us. As time passed the hot tub / sales room place finally figured out that their idea to boost sales by opening up rooms to test the product wasn't working out as they intended. The promo ended and I no longer had the means to ease my sore back anymore. But the thrill of being watched and watching others had taken hold of both the ex wife and I. Not to mention peeked both our interest in perhaps going all the way and actually swapping partners with another couple. But who do we ask to actually take the plunge and do it with? A few couple friends we had hot tubed with might work, but when casually approaching the subject with them we were met with resounding No's as an answer. Well, that led us to placing an ad in a swingers magazine. The magazine was published in Ohio, out of Cleveland in fact. So close to us we figured we'd eventually find someone local enough to have some "fun" with. As it was most of the replies we got to our ad were from single guys. Or from couples too far away to actually meet up with. We did eventually find a few couples locally, One around the same age as we were, and another couple a few years younger then we were. We eventually decided to try it with the same age couple. So, we booked a hotel room and had our first "fling" together. { I've written about that time in a blog once before so I won't bore you with all the details. } Only to say that the hotel had a very large bath tub in it that we all shared before we actually swapped partners....okay so when your a newbie you fall back on what you know to break the Ice. In the end the ex and I broke up...hence her being my ex. I did hook up with the other couple ( the one a few years younger than we were ) a few times. We had some fun together, more so after I found out that "He" was a closet bisexual and she preferred to be with me alone and then go home to tell him about our evenings together. But feeling like I was coming between them and she was getting g more into me rather than being with her husband I ended the relationship. Getting back to the finest bath thing.... yeah I'd love a good long soak in a hot tub right about now. Trouble is I don't know anyone who owns one.  ( at least anyone locally ) I wonder if the hot tub place would let me test out one of theirs? Any who...I'm off to shower now. But I could really use a good soak.

Like you I am a shower person but have my own fond sexual memories in hot tubs over the years.. Great story my friend.Hope the aches and pains are few today Hun..xoxo

I do miss the Resort in Colorado that had a Mineral Hot Spring Pool and lower level Private Tub Rooms or 2 Outdoor Private Fully Enclosed Tubs that had half hour or hour time frames 🥺 Couples taking " Soaks" in the Private Tubs were given a small sheet of Tub Regulations, as they called them at Check-in. It simply stated , Swimwear & Robe are Required en-route too the Tubs but In Tub, Swimwear was Optional & NO SEX in the tub !! Had to pay for pool, with Unlimited time, unless you were spending the night in one of eight small motel type rooms, then pool and/or half hour in tub was Free but could Pay for added half hour in Tubs 😊 Needless to say that on numerous visits a Fair amount of Hanky Panky or Touchy Feely went on between Wife & I in the tub but time was watched and Final Release was encountered on the bench in the room covered with our Robes and/or Towels 😉😉🤠

Do you have a patio to have one of the mini hot tubs? They are portable and not too expensive.
