Im Done
The new community is coming and there will be no way to continue blogging on the dating side soon. I know a lot of readers of my blog don't want to go to the community side. But, it is on the horizon, and this side will be shut down. I just don't see the point in delaying the inevitable. I've had a foot in both sides for a bit now, and it's time to just do it and start blogging there full time.



In fact, there's been a blog post over since Friday night when one of my cats died. One that I didn't put on this side at all.

For those who aren't interested in continuing reading and/or blogging on the community side, I'll miss you. I'll continue to check in on this side and respond to those I read on the regular. But, for the most part, if you want to see new content from me....you'll have to follow me over there.

And, if you don't, well, that's your prerogative.

It took some getting used to and there are still glitches, but everything takes getting used to. I'd rather be a part of providing feedback on what I like and don't like than complain later when it becomes the only place to blog.

The more of us who do it and learn how to use it, the better we can teach others when they're forced over and besides I like being able to tell Andrew what I like and don't like. It's nice to actually be heard on this site.

To be honest with you, I'd rather be a part of creating something new and have my feedback heard than complain later when that's the only place I can blog. The more I use that side, the more feedback I'm able to give.

You are correct. And that in itself makes things confusing. If I respond to a comment over on the beta side, it doesn't show up over here. But, if I respond here it will show up over there, just not as a response, only as another comment on the blog itself. So if look for a response to your comment on the Beta side that was made on this side, you are going to have to be clairvoyant to figure out which comment is a reponse to your comment. Yeah it won't be a problem when they go all in on the new site, but it's just another glitch that's adding to the confusion.

The migration of the comments is a pain in the ass, it's also one of the reasons I'm just going to start blogging over there rather than here. It's easier for me to follow.

 More likely by the Spring everyone will be migrated to the New Community and this side will be closed down.

In all honesty, the Bloggers here on this side (Old) really need to be checking into the New and giving opinions and feedback to Andrew on its design and format. Otherwise, when the New Community is finalized and made the Alpha, they don't need bitch, moan and complain about it if they do not like it. Why? Because they have had every opportunity to making their voices heard.

Yeah, I don't really know what's been going on over there today. That side still has glitches, but this side also has glitches that keep getting worse. That side has the propensity to get better with feedback, this side doesn't.

 I finally got there, but had to click feedback to be there. Is the new community going to always be a thin strip where you can barely see your pics on your posts and where everything seems jammed all together? If so, I don’t like it at all.

 As you know my friend I have been using the New Community and loving it there especially with being able to add song videos. For the moment I will bounce from one side to the other until the Old format here is no more.  We are already doing together some steps there on the other side.

Let us build a new, maybe and hopefully better blogland there, pioneers with a direct contact to Andrew - should work. And if not - we tried at least .
