People let you into traffic 🚥? 🤔
Kool 👍 ❗

What annoys me is when people follow me, pop into my blog and consistently DON'T leave a comment.
Why bother subscribing to my bullshit if it doesn't interest, or bores you? 🤔

Hmmm...I didn't receive a goodie box. And I would have made sure to give you a heart-felt "Thank you!"!
I had an aunt that used to make coco rum balls and some other goodies and send to me. Mmmm!!! They were sooo good. I made sure to send her a thank you for them. I did it because I really appreciated her taking the time and effort...and I wanted to keep receiving them!

Hmmmm....I know I left that wand around here somewhere!

You expressed something that is so missing in todays world. Simple acknowledgement. I respond to my blog comments for the same reason you do. I admit I do not always make a comment when I visit a blog but when I don't I feel guilty. I have quit following some bloggers because they never respond to comments.
I gave my 3 girls at least 2 dozen of 3 kinds of cookies plus homemade candy as I do every Christmas. The one who delivered them thanked me with enthusiasm. Not a peep from the other two. The one I understand but though she may be busy I does not take long to text, Thanks for the goodies and Merry Christmas. This is the 4th year it has happened. May be the last year 2 of them get anything.

If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin."

I always behave. Preferably not well.

That's just rude. If nothing else, with the foibles of package delivery these days, the recipient should realize that you'd want to know whether the goodies arrived safely.

Kudos to you for replying to every email. I tried to do that for quite a long time. Once I decided I was giving up on trying to meet people here, and put that on my profile, I decided I was no longer obligated to reply to everybody. Now they get an auto reply. And people who write an actual thoughtful note get an actual reply.

It's probably better that the traveling guys looking for a hookup while they're in town for the weekend are spared what I think of them.

I remember when a teen some saying Please, Thank You and You are Welcome were so Old Fashioned. It is worse today and few seem to realize those words and other such are the oil that help wash the sand out of the gearbox of the interactions of people.

If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin."

I always behave. Preferably not well.

I will admit that sometimes I don't leave a comment if a post already has 25+ comments and it seems like every response that could possibly be made, has been made.

Over in The New Place, I suspect I might default to a "like" in that situation.

Common courtesy. Kind gestures go unnoticed to often. We think alike on the traffic. As with most, it makes you not want to do anything kind if it seems unappreciated. Bi can’t. Seems like I hold door open for enough people, that my group is exiting by the time the crowd clears out. 🤣
One year I didn’t get birthday gifts from my grandparents. Why? Because I forgot to write thank you notes the previous year. Mom told them not to get me anything if I couldn’t manage a simple thank you note. Bet your ass I never forgot again! 😜

Have a great day! 💋

Please, thank you, and you're welcome were drilled into me.

Hell, I still write thank you notes when I receive a gift. Like handwrite and send through snail mail.

HOWEVER, I refuse to acknowledge the people in my inbox, unless it's someone I know. My profile talks all about how I'm only here to blog and I'm only interested in bloggers. They get my Autoreply.

This week's HNW: Pink/Hearts (Or Chocolate) is available on the other side.

I notice the ones who respond and I tend to go to those who do more than the ones who dont. I guess it gives me more incite to their character. But I do know that some may not care or some may just not know how to respond or be shy.
Remember thank you notes? A thing of the past

Don't send anything this year. I bet you'll get a letter or two, but no doubt it won't be a 'thank you'.

I try to acknowledge all my blog comments, but there's no way on earth I'm going to acknowledge some rude email in my inbox. Honestly I look at emails like people who say hello on the street. Most are worth at least a nod back to, but catcalls or panhandlers get ignored.

I'm amazed that you didn't get acknowledgment of your goodie packages!!!

Simple manners.....alot are lacking in this day n age. Ur right acknowlegement is impt and is why i answer every email sent to me..as well. Just acknowledging their efforts. It was drilled in to me as a child and i passed that sentiment along.
A simple task that means so much to the other~~

YOU have a valid reason, you're busy shovelling snow, like the rest of us. 🇨🇦❄️😮
Sheesh... it's been a wild winter so far.

And in summer, you're swatting those North Bay mosquitoes; they're the size of small birds 🐦 😮👍

I'll be honest with you... THAT'S y I use those stupid emojis so often. When I have nothing glib, or witty to say, those guys — 🥑😃💕🌹🐥🇺🇸 — fill in the gaps. 😮❗❗

Either THAT, or I go COMPLETELY off topic. Another one of my... *ugh*... habits.

Don't tell anyone. 😎❗❗👍

RESPECT
is what it come down to
you have and should be respected
bye a thank you.
same here with my family we sent gifts.
but we got phone calls thanking us.
we just said your welcome enjoy
never expecting one back and then after Christmas
they all sent a thoughtful gift or a handwritten Thank you card
now for the ones that we sent gift for their kids birthday we never got
a thank by phone nor card from their kids never even saw a picture of the kids with the gift we stopped giving. no loss to us.

I try to respond to every comment, but sometimes life gets in the way, and I don't get back to every one. I haven't been responding as much in the private mailbox because I wonder how private 'private' is nowadays. But I do so appreciate the comments on my posts and I like responding to them, as I end up sharing more about who I am...like a conversation.

It is very sad when someone doesn't thank you for a gift. When I was young I was well trained by my mother on how to always write my "thank you letters." In later life I realised why it was so important. It just seems ungrateful somehow if you don't, but probably your friends just don't realised that. It does make it harder to continue to think of the nice things to do, I agree, but I really hope you won't let that change your generous spirit.

btw - thank you for showcasing that marvelously hairy chest via your profile pic. I once wrote a tribute just for chests like yours ---> Ode to Fur

You're very welcome and thank you for the lovely ode. It's nice to know some still admire a hairy chest. Thank you.

Well said as it is the small things in life that bring one more joy & contentment by far. Yes a little acknowledgement does go a long way in that it helps perpetuate good feelings all around. Positive vibes are a really solid foundation in life no matter where you live.

Courtesy, kindness goes a long way...why one ignore's receiving a gift is beyond me...I always call or email thanking them for the kind gesture...guess I'm old school or maybe I was raised properly...
